Wilwood Thermlock Caliper Piston Self-Locking Retaining Washer

This external self-locking retaining washer is designed for compatible Wilwood Thermlock caliper pistons. It installs over the 240-7628 three-wave washer, securing the internal piston components while maintaining the required spring tension within the assembly.

The six inward-facing teeth grip the piston’s retaining post to provide a secure, push-on fit without a conventional circlip groove. Its steel construction is suited to the heat and repeated loading experienced within competition brake calipers.

Ideal for replacing a removed, distorted or damaged retaining washer during Thermlock piston servicing. As this is a self-locking component, replacement is recommended rather than reusing a washer that has already been removed.
